Co 192 sts. I am not doing the ribbing but a folded waistband.

18.01.2024

18 decreases for the legs until I had 90 sts on the needles. Decreased 30 sts before ribbing. I am knitting a 5 cm ribbing to the ankles with 60 sts.

22.10.2025

A new pair, this time bigger size. Otherwise with same changes. I am using 3 mm needles. My yarn is thinner and needles smaller than in the first pants but still my gauge is the same in stiches.
CO 240 sts.

20.01.2026

I started leg decreases every 12th row 9 times. Continued every 8th row 13 times. Next round decreased 31 sts => 76 sts. Continued with 2/2 ribbing with 2.5 mm needles.

05.02.2026

The second pair is now done.
Now I will start a third pair. They will be again for Niklas. Same size as the first pair.
CO 192 sts on 3,5 mm needles.

06.03.2026

I added a side pocket to Niklas’s pants. I followed the instructions from Petiteknits No Frills Cardigan pattern. In fact I added a pocket already earlier also to Niklas’s first pair of pants. I think he needs the pocket for his mobile phone.

Niklas’s wife Johanna wishes to have pants like this for her birthday.
Same size (medium) and same changes except the top part needs to be almost 10 cm shorter. CO 192 sts.

19.03.2026

Increases every 7th row instead of every 10th row.
