I have knitted twice this cardigan several years ago. Since then Petiteknit has updated this pattern and there are some changes, not only corrections, compared to the older version. The button band was previously started with 17 sts instead of 13 sts. As I like the button band to be a bit wider, I started this time with 19 sts. I will also knit the front edge of the button band with a slipped sts. I am quite sure it used to be that way also in the previous version. That is the way I knitted my earlier two cardigans. I have written up all the changes I made and there is no mention about the front edge. I am also using 3.5 mm needles for the button band. That way it will not flare and it will be more neat.

From the rib edge I picked up a sts on every row as I want the neckline to stay up near the neck.

Before the ribbing of the sleeves I decreased 12 extra sts.

I am starting a navy blue version of this cardigan allthough the first one is still unfinished, about half way done.
Linda wants a similar one for her birthday. Hers will be size M and the buttonband I will knit with 13 sts.
