I made these during Christmas Eve at my cousin’s house. The first one I made with Lion Brand Homespun, and Shelby snapped it up as soon as it was finished. The other one was not completed during the evening, and is made from Lion Brand Vana’s Choice in apple green.

I doubled the yarn and used a size 15 circular needle (16”), and made this sort of like a hat. I cast on 40 stitches, knit until I had about 8” of fabric, then used the 2-needle cast-off. Then, I braided 6 strands of the yarn for 30” to make the tie, and wove this in every other stitch at about 1.5” from the open top of the bag. Fast and really easy.
