I thought I had more merino than mohair, but after looking up the labels it seemed I had the opposite of what I was expecting. I have a couple yards of each skein left, so things worked out okay. for each section, rows 1-6 is worked in angel hair, rows 7-20 where done in merino. I was actually expecting to use up more merino than mohair (I thought I had 400m merino & 300m mohair). for the last section of merino, I’m actually missing the last 2 rows because I ran out, but its not really noticeable. for the ruffle edging, I did kf&b for the most part in the first row, but every 4-5 stitches I’ll do a K,YO,K instead to make things a bit more ruffly. I think I ended up with about 11-13 rows of ruffles. there are lots of mistakes on this scarf, but they aren’t very noticeable. the mistakes were probably missing a k&f at the start of the ruched section or not doing a k2tog. I was testing out a new pair of Kollage Square needles with this, and had trouble with the tips not being sharp enough for the k2tog or kf&b. love the soft cable on the needle though. if I were to do this again, I’ll have to remember to put markers in for the increase section so I don’t hurt my head counting.

tons of stockinette!! in the last merino section, I think I did 5-8 rows of it during a 3.5 hour staff meeting. you can imagine how long each row of the ruffle took!

decided to keep this because brown is awesome and it goes with my hat!

one of the merino/mohair skeins from fleece artist. I’m using the merino for the regular part and the mohair for the ruched part. looking good so far after the first section.
