Cast on 100 stitches and then just knit in garter stitch.

It appears to be about a metre or so wide, and I intend to keep knitting until it looks long enough for a shawl, or I run out of yarn.

It’s been hibernating for a while, but I’m going to attempt to get back into it.

Yup, definitely made quiet a bit of progress. It is now finally longer than it is wide. I really did cast on far too many stitches. Still, I’ve plenty of yarn left. And I’m still alternating this with any other projects.

2011/01/08

Out of hibernation again after another long break. Now 104cm long, aiming for a length of around 185cm. That puts me at more or less 55% :)

Is it really 2 years since I last did any of this? Finished another ball of yarn today and started the next. There are 6 or so left after this one. Getting about 17 or 18 rows per ball.

2013/01/27 - 8 years after casting on 100 stitches I’ve finally cast them off again and woven in 32 ends! Measurements and photos of finished shawl to follow! Suffice to say I’m amazed how quickly I reached the end - and have 2 and a bit balls of yarn left over - wonder what I’ll do with them?

2013/01/29 - added photos. Neither dim light nor flash shows the true colour very well. Sad that the square form factor makes it hard to show the full size of this shawl! The square shots are it folded in half.
