Estimated start date 2005 - not worked on in quite some time. I have a post-it inside which reads “Just finished row 29 using 1.75mm hook” which is very useful as it’s been sitting in a drawer safely stopped with a safety pin for years :)
The yarn and hook size are much smaller than recommended on the pattern, and the whole thing is a bit bonkers really! There are another 17 rows to go, but of course each will be a little larger than the last.
2013-03-17: having finished row 32 (of the 46 in the pattern) it’s clear there is not much yarn left, so I decided to call it a day here, rather than try find more matching yarn. Decided to use a row of DCs in each loop to give it a neat finish - experimentally I discover I have just enough yarn left for seven in each loop - though I discover this the hard way having found there was nearly enough for eight!
Now just need to pin it out on something for display purposes. Not sure dampening to block it will work well with polyester thread, but may as well give it a shot.

I never did block it, but did try pinning to card. Found it again recently and removed from the card and it’s now sitting on the dresser in our bedroom with assorted rocks on top :)
