For my junior I.S., I’m writing a paper comparing Twilight and Dracula from a feminist perspective. It soon became very clear (to me, at least) I needed a little vampire to act as my mascot. I decided to search Ravely on a whim and lo, this is the first thing that came up and it’s everything I was looking for and more.

Plus, now I can work on it when I’m procrastinating on my paper, and it will remind me to get back on track.

Got the body done and maybe half a leg. I keep putting this aside when I remember that it’s not a Christmas present. Which is sad times because I love it so much.

Picked this back up; finished the leg and most of the head. Named Stefan for Stephenie Meyer and Stephanie Demetrakopoulos, plus it’s got that Eastern European thing going on. (though apparently that show with Vampire Boone has a Stefan? I was not even aware this name was so popular for vampires).

Let me tell you what is taking forever: this goddamn cape. Most especially since I’m knitting it on two DPNs because I’m too lazy to buy needles that are long enough and all my stitches keep falling off the ends. Maybe I should invest in some real needles.

Fiiiiiiinally finished. (I did end up buying a circular needle in the end, and after that everything moved right along.) But it was worth it, because the finished product is so cute it might melt your face off.
