This was a project I could see in my mind, from the minute I got the un-dyed optim.

I dyed it a certain way to make the colour run from very pale into deep dark sea green.

Great care was taken to spin it to maintain the colour blend so that when it was knit or woven I hoped the colours would run from pale to dark and back to pale.

I swatched a few different knitting stitches but it just didn’t look right. The pattern took over the colour change and didn’t do the colours justice.

When I started to weave it, everything fell into place and I was SO happy with the end result.

I gifted it to a girlfriend for her 40th, and she just LOVED it. I still have 2 skeins left so will have to weave one for myself now.
