I came across a blog post a few weeks ago (http://hadleygetscrafty.blogspot.com/) asking for test knitters for some new patterns that Hadley had created.
As soon as I read it I was excited! I’ve been wanting to get into test knitting for ages, so I emailed her straight away and was so pleased when she got back to me.
I sent over some images of the knitted things I’ve made in the past and told her a bit a bout myself and she accepted having me on board as a test knitter.
She sent the patterns for 2 hats over last week, and the yarn to knit them arrived yesterday. I’m going to be getting started on them today, so will keep updating on here to show how they are going.
Both hats are knitted in the round using 2 different yarns throughout the hats. I’m really excited about getting going with this!
4th August, 2011:
The hats are finished! Wohoo! I’m really happy with the results. The first hat was definitely the more tricky of the two, but I like it when knitting gives me a little challenge from time to time because it helps with my learning curve.
The next bit of test knitting I’m doing is for a gorgeous teddy bear. Just waiting for th yarn and materials to arrive for that and then I can get going with it. In the meantime I’ll be working on some other bits and pieces I’ve been asked to knit for others.
