This knit tested my ability to stuff effectively. It requires finesse to respect the pattern and anatomical shaping. Do take special care.

The pocket mouth feature of the head is impressive in its design. Ingenious… I took extra care to place stuffing above and below the mouth lining before stitching the neckline closed.

I had to take more breaks with this project to rest from postures taken while picking up stitches and maintaining tension. When you are working the head, the stuffed body will challenge you with it’s weighty pull. I elected to use my lap and knees to support it. This forced my arms out from their usual knitting position.

Isn’t the soft brown a perfect Otter colour? It was dyed just right by Tully Yarns.
