Notes

This project took longer for me than it should have. The body was finished fairly quickly, but I needed help making thumbs for the first time. So the project languished until I could make it to a knitting workshop at Knit One Smock Too. Thanks to Martha and Kathy for helping to complete them! Thumbs aside, it’s definitely not a project for a beginner.

I hope Sara will like them. I realized that I didn’t inform her that lace=holes. I think I told her it was a lace pattern, but that means squat to a non-knitter. Hmmmm. I hope she’s not thrown by that. They’re more pretty than functional, I’m afraid.

Now that I’ve got the first set down, I feel comfortable embarking on other mitten and fingerless mitten patterns! Especially if they don’t have cables, lace, and twisted rib stitch all at the same time!

In the picture, Sara is also wearing the quick cable slouch hat that I made.
