Started with 83.5” tail for casting on with US9 needle; had 27” left over. Switched to US7.
I slipped the first stitch of every row on the back as recommended by rycrafty.
Waist shaping WS: P to marker, sl m, ssp, P to 2 sts before marker, p2tog, sl m, P to end.
I wrote out all the rows (by row number) that had increases, decreases, or crossings.
Started 2nd ball at end of row 31, about 4.25” long.
3rd ball near beginning of row 76.
4th ball near beginning of row 114.
5th ball at beginning of last front side. I had about 9 yards left, but didn’t want to start another ball on the strap.
Last cross at row 131. Started scoop neck then - on every 2nd row bound off:
16 center stitches
5 sts each side
3 sts each side
2 sts each side - twice
1 stitch each side - five times
I like the original neckline, but she said it would strangle her.
Since college is online right now, she is home so we tried it on several times for tank length, scoop neck, and straps.
Did not increase sleeves, to make into a tank top. Straps 15 sts wide. I used the Kitchener stitch to join the straps.
The yarn was prettier than I expected.
At least some of the yarn was closer to 45g per ball.
It would have been helpful if the pattern listed the increase and decrease stitches.
