Long-tail cast on loosely with 25”+ yarn on size US8 needles. Knit on size US6. Cast off with needle US8.

Started with four rows of garter stitch border.

When hit last half of a leaf pattern (either row 12 or 24 starting new leaves), instead of starting new leaves that would only be half-finished, purled and changed yo to lifted increase and purl for just those leaves. Used garter stitch for last four rows, except for completing the remaining leaves.

Stopped one or two rows short of end of pattern since was short on yarn. Also removed a couple of increases a few rows before finishing to get extra yarn.
