Notes

An extremely straight-forward, enjoyable knit. Highly recommended.

I’m really pleased with how the cables turned out. Written directions, as well as a very clear chart are provided for this fairly complex pattern, with multiple cable-crossings to keep track of. Happily the cable section is only 33 rows long!

I think it’s the perfect amount of cables - it makes a big impact, without being overwhelming. Once the ribbing & cables are done, the rest of the sweater flies off the needles - I finished mine(62” inch bust) in 4 weeks.

My only modification was to increase the length of the body by 2 inches - it’s cropped, but not too cropped.

I’m embarrassed to admit that I rarely swatch - even for garments - or I’ll do a tiny one! This time, since it’s actually a test knit, I did a huge 60-something row swatch(in the round!). I think I’m a swatching convert now. Soooo useful.
