Notes

9/28/18 - Finished the lower body & put on hold for joining the sleeves. Decided against doing any waist shaping.

Trying out the Estonian cast-on for the first time ( I like it!) and increasing the ribbing on the sleeves to 2” so it’ll match the ribbing on the body.

11/10/18 - Finally finished both sleeves & am attaching them only to find the stitch counts for my size (56”) are off. So irritating when it’s obvious that the largest size hasn’t been tech edited or test knitted.

11/14/18 - Completed the final decreases on the yoke & decided to try it on as it looked massive. Very Disappointed with the yoke.

Tragically, I’m totally to blame as I didn’t look at the schematic carefully enough. The grading for the largest sizes of this pattern is…weird. I’m stuck with a 24” deeply scooped neckline & it’s not what I wanted (or expected, to be honest).

Don’t get me wrong - it’s flattering & the colourwork yoke is lovely, but I feel as though this deep neckline is better suited to a drapey summer tee, not a warm & fuzzy winter Lopi!

I hereby vow to always pay attention to pattern grading & not just look at the pretty pictures. I’m also putting this project aside as I mope & work up the courage to frog a nearly-completed colourwork sweater.
