This was one of my first knitting projects. I also made a baby hat by knitting a long rectangle in stockinette, folding it in half and sewing up the sides, then added tassles to the corners. And my 6 year old son made a long crochet chain because he wanted to contribute something to the gift (my friend hung it over the baby’s crib. :-) )
