4/6 - I was bad and didn’t get any of that last half row done yesterday but I finished it and bound off today. I can’t wait to block it when I’m home in May and see the lace open up. I do think it’s a great size, though, which is fantastic and I’m also glad I didn’t go for the regular larger size because I don’t think I would’ve made it.
4/4 - So I was way past halfway and now I have less than a row left until the bind off. Yay!
4/4 - I’m a little over halfway through chart 5 and I love it. Can’t wait to be finished though.
3/28 - I made it to the 5th chart today and I love how it looks. I think my size decision was right but I hope it’s big enough. It looks great though.
3/22 - I made the decision to not do a second repeat of charts 2 and 3 because my yardage is less. Either way, it’s really pretty.
3/20 - Got through charts 1 and 2 and a few rows into chart 3 today. It’s actually going pretty quickly, probably because of all the stockinette. I’m loving it so far.
3/19 - Started this tonight and it was coming along nicely until I realized I messed up a few rows back. I’ll fix that in the morning and keep trucking. Looks great for the 15 or so rows I have done.
Mods:
- I reversed the central decrease (the 3-into-1 decrease) in charts 4 and 5 to keep the decrease lines intact. On the rows listed below where I changed it, here’s what I did instead: ssk, pass that stitch back to the left needle, pass the second stitch on the left needle (the first unworked) over the first stitch, pass that worked stitch back to the right needle and continue onward. While it sounds complicated, it isn’t. I’m sooooo glad I did this too.
Reversed Central Decreases in Chart 4:
Row 5: Left half (side B)
Row 11: Right half (side A)
Row 17: Left half (side B)
Row 23: Right half (side A)
Row 29: Left half (side B)
Row 35: Right half (side A)
Reversed Central Decreases in Chart 5:
Row 5: Left half (side B)
Row 11: Right half (side A)
