Made smaller size with following modifications:

1. Collar was 52 rows stockinette, 8 rows knit every row.
2. Picked up 40 stitches along collar edge, 67 stitches along front edge (total 107 stitches) for left front. Knit each row for 16 rows. BO.
3. Skipped right front garter rows.
4. Using size G crochet hook, did crochet join of front edges.
5. Skipped buttons.

Lovely shading, wonderful drape with hi-lo lower edge. Only used tiny bit of black and red yarns, but now I can knit matching accessories!

If I make this pattern again, I would skip the front garter rows altogether, and knit this in the round in the larger size…
