Experimenting again. Trying to used a multi-strand Mclana Bobbel cake along with Rainbow Wrapsody. Both have similar color palettes. Wondering if the Mclana will be frustrating to work with.

Update: was not too frustrating with the Mclana. I did try 2 Mclana’s together in another project and I don’t know that I’d do that again.

Rainbow Wrapsody cake weighs 205g total. Removing 20g of interior light color to start.
Mclana weighs 202g to start. Starting from interior of both cakes.

While working the shawl, decided to reduce the amount of blue….and removed 9g of a portion of the solid blue of the McLana Bobbel 9227 cake.

Used 5mm hook for main; 4.5mm hook for final panel. Completed 10 panels.

When finished, was left with 45g of the McLana Bobbel 9227 cake. And 13g of the Rainbow Wrapsody Peacock cake.

Mclana 202g - 9g - 45g = 148g used.
Rainbow 205g - 20g - 13g = 172g used.
