I couldn’t resist casting on this project despite all the other WIPS. I spent the first part of the evening reworking the pattern into a pullover. My son doesn’t want any buttons!

Gauge on size 8 needles:

15 sts to 3”
5 sts to 1”

I like the way this fabric looks, so here’s the plan:

1) Sleeves - Follow pattern for the 6-8 yr size for stitch counts and the 4-6 yr size for vertical measurements.

2) Body - CO 120 sts and follow pattern for the 4-6 yr size, except join in the round.

3) Join sleeves and body for yoke - Follow pattern for the 8-10 yr size.

4) Yoke - Dec ev 22 sts 8x to set up for cables.

5) Cable setup round - Remove BOR, knit 1 st, replace BOR, purl 5 sts, and continue according to pattern, following vertical measurements for 4-6 yr size.

Note - My original BOR was at the beginning of the back sts.
