Niamh left her hat in the car, and a mouse ate it. I had to re-knit the crown, and repair a hole in the main section.

OMG! A repeat of last year…same hat…same mittens…same mouse?

This repair is to the bottom of the hat, so it’s going to be a bit more complicated a repair. I’m going to pick up stitches at the lowest undamaged round, and knit downwards, adding length and re-doing the brim. Brim will end with a cast off instead of starting with a cast on.

I decided to add an inch of length to make the slouchy version, and I didn’t go down a needle size for the ribbing. Niamh’s head is getting bigger, so I think this will make the hat fit her a bit longer.
