Knit Picks Gauge Swatch Size 4 Needles:
Unblocked - 27.9 sts and 38.75 rows per 4”
Blocked - 24.25 sts and 40 rows per 4”

I’ve decided to use Size 4 needles for the Knit Picks yarn and Size 3 needles for the Wollelfe yarn. I think that’s going to be the closest I can get the gauges of the yarns to match. The swatches look super close in sizing and drape

Neck:

Follow directions for size 32” bust.

12-18-2016

Frogging all the way back to the ribbing. I can’t count increases and care for a newborn at the same time…

12-20-2016

Finished with the Knit Picks Black Gloss Fingering. Knit ribbing with it. Moving on to the Wollelfe Gradient Skein.

12-29-2016

Bodice:

Follow directions for size 32” bust. However, add 24 more rounds; the first 16 rows of which continue sleeve increases as usual, but no increases on the front or back of the body. Follow directions for R2 of Chest instructions to keep this modification in pattern. The last 8 rounds have no increases at all; continuing to follow directions for R2 of Chest instructions to keep this section in pattern as well.

Because I’m crazy: I frogged the whole thing. I didn’t like how the line between the black and the brown yarns was looking…I think I’m going to use the black yarn for the neck ribbing and for the sleeve ribbing and the brown gradient yarn for the main body. I think I’ll use white yarn for the bottom ribbing… Hopefully I’ll like the way that looks better! It was just looking too stripey which isn’t what I was going for.

01-05-2017

Ready to do the sleeve ribbing and decided to do it on the brown gradient.

01-07-2017

Sleeve Ribbing:

Follow instructions except eliminate increases on sleeves.

01-08-2017

Divide for Sleeves:

Follow pattern instructions.

01-09-2017

Chest:

Repeat the 2 rounds 5X, then knit 18 rounds of Inc. Then 5 rounds even in pattern.

01-12-2017

Waist Shaping:

Following decrease pattern 4X, then working even in pattern for 18 rounds.

01-16-2017

A-Line Hem:

Follow pattern instructions for 50 rounds.

01-21-2017

Ready to do the final ribbing. Just waiting on white yarn.

01-25-2017

I’ve changed my mind and decided to do the hem in Wollelfe too. I think it looks better.
