The only big change has been to change the bands that the pattern said for a firmer one. Here is the recipe:
For the buttonhole band I pick up and knit with 2.25 mm needle approximately 3 sts for each 4sts in the edge. In my case I pick up 151 sts.
1row (WS) purl
2row (RS) yo,k2togtbl. yo, k2togtbl…….
3row (WS) with 3 mm needles ktbl 1, p1, ktbl1, p1……
4row (RS) k4, p1, skk, p1, skk, p1…….
5row (WS) p3 k1,p3 k1,p3 k1…..
6row (RS) k3 p1,k3p1,k3p1…..
7row (WS) with 2,25 mm needles again: k3,skk p1,k3 skk p1…….
8 row (RS) ptbl all the sts
9row bind off with 3.5 mm needles
for the button band I pick up the same number of sts (in my case 151) with 2.25 mm needles.I knit first and second rows as the buttonhole band After the 3 rows, I have changed to 3.00 mm needles and made the same pattern as the sleeve ribing until I have the same wide as the buttonhole band.
After finishing the two front bands I pick up and knit the sts for the neck band with 3.25 mm needles, in my case 136 sts. I knit with these needles 3 rows in the same rising as the sleeves, 3 rows more with 3.00 mm needles, 3 more rows with 2.75 mm needles and finally 2 rows with 2.25 mm needles. One more row just knit all the sts and bind off.
And about the yarn, I have worked all the cardi with the two yarns together , cast size L, because my daughter has broad shoulders but the rest of the body l knit as M2.
