Truly great pattern. I loved knitting it. It is quick and fun. Owl is lovely to knit with.
Used eight skeins of Owl, instead of 10 as stated in the pattern.

Only mod: After reading the comments about the sleeves being tight, I added two rows at the front and at the back of the gansey part to widen the sleeve openings. I then added two stitches to each sleeve (54 instead of 52 for size 48½) I kept my two extra stitches until the end. The sleeves feel nice though I am not sure it was absolutely necessary. And maybe the gansey pattern does not look as neat as in the original since the central repeat has two extra rows as you can see in the photo.
