This is to match with the fingerless gloves I made the other day. I considered doing the whole thing with double-sided hourglass rib but the thought of doing that 600 times was enough to bring a tear to my eye immediately. I started with a diagonal stripe of one mini-cable per row but that was too plain. Instead I’m increasing the number of cables every other repeat - this will make it slightly asymmetrical and therefore more interesting. For a scarf, anyway.

gasp I managed a very successful tubular bind off thanks to techknitting and knitty. I’ve never had one work properly before so I’m dead grateful to them.
