How many people picked up the brim stitches from the same side as the hat stitches are picked up (off of the band)? And, how many picked up the brim stitches from the opposite side? Thoughts on whether you’d do it different next time?

--6 inches into the moss and I’ve discovered my first mistake! About halfway through the row I’m suddenly knitting a third purl or knit instead of a second. I’m just going to tink back 2.5 rows and re-knit rather that drop down to each third stitch to flip it opposite. That is annoying!

--band and body done! Going to pick up and knit the brim now. I’m going to pick up and knit from the front edge, not the edge that the body is knit from. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

--OK, I lied, I did the brim as written, from the same edge as the body so that the strap folds over the body. If anyone decides to pick up from the same side, please leave a comment!

I used the p2tog/p2tog/slip stitch over bind off method and kept the stitches very loose as I wanted the brim edge to be firm and hold against my forehead.

I really liked this pattern!
