A sweet little retro-styled romper for a dear friend’s baby boy.

2nd time I use the pattern, this time I picked up the stitches b/t the legs directly when I did the back, did not mix up front and back (though how I’d managed to do that first time around, I have really no iea!), left 5 more stitches in the back after the separation (1 one to bind off 2 when separating for the straps, and +2 to have slightly larger straps), made a stockinette flat part on the chest instead of the lace pattern (often bodies have pictures there, so I found it awkward to have lace here). I forgot the buttonholes!! So it’s press buttons, and normal buttons added just for decoration.

Last picture: a first attempt I had to abandon as the yarn was horridly scratchy and not enough. I also find the 12-18 months size really really big, maybe weird for the style. Might try this color combo some other time.
