Notes

This was a fun knit and an easy project to haul around and work on in bits. My bag turned out bigger than the pattern dimensions and I wasn’t sure I’d find handles to fit. So I cut down a bamboo garden stake, sanded the ends, and they worked out fine.
The lining wasn’t so easy because I don’t sew very well by hand, but I tried to make the stitches blend as much as possible from the outside and had to play with how much I sewed under the handle flaps as my folded seams were bigger on one side of the fabric and showed through the holes in the bag.
I probably should’ve sewn the very bottom edge of the handle flaps down also, but I’m done with that kind of needle. Can always do it later.
Haven’t decided if I want the fringe or not. Can add it later too because I want to use my bag.
