Used very little of the second skein. Didn’t gauge but liked the slouchy part of the hat. I think it came out just right. The band was way too loose so I picked up stitches just before band and knitted down from it, reducing the stitches to 96 (the amount called for in the fitted version of the hat.) I ripped out the old band until I got tired of that and just bound off the little remainder. It just added some heft to the band, making it fit even better and is underneath so it was worth it not to get a headache over it.
