This slouch cap can be worn with the ribbing flat and scrunched on the head, or with the ripping turned up as a standard stocking type cap.

C/0 70 sts and did 10 rows of K1 P1 ribbing. Then followed this pattern for 7 reps:

Rounds 1-3:
P4, k3, (star)p7, k3; repeat from (star} to last 3 sts, p3.
Round 4:
Knit.
Rounds 5-7:
K2, p7, (star)k3, p7; repeat from (star) to last st, k1.
Round 8:
Knit.
Repeat last 8 rounds until piece measures 10” from
beginning, end with Round 7
