Decided 2019 needs to be “Operation Sock Drawer” because I have woefully few hand knit socks of my own (but have knit plenty for others) and very cold toes.

I love the rustic look and feel of this wool. I thought I was going to lose my mind with all the little “cheerios” (as my 9 year old dubbed the cables) and reverse stockinette, but I made it through.

My foot measures 8.5 in circumference, but the size 2 was far too large. I frogged and knit the size 1 and they fit much better (I’m also assuming they will relax a little bit with wear). I know others who knit these knit on the bottom needle, but I loved the look of the reverse stockinette so I went with that, I’m so glad I did, I love how these look.
