ready steady knit! yeah!

Body is finished, time to steek! And time to try it on. I choose the “to fit bust” size 38. But to be honest, I found it strange there wasn’t also a 36. Such a common size… So I am a bit worried the cardigan is to big. (not experienced enough to knit between sizes).

After a former mistake on another cardigan, (didn’t use 100% wool / ‘from the same family’ to steek) I used the green Jamieson yarn to steek. I feel confident now! Sticky stuff :)

Tried it on… The 38 size seems to be all right…

Sleeves:
Knitting the sleeves like this was new to me. I watched a you tube film: Carol Sunday’s short rows. That looked really easy (and it was).
I didn’t understand what size needle to knit with. I picked up the stitches for the sleeve cap with a 2 mm and knitted the short rows with 2 mm needles aswell . The rest of the sleeve (and cuffs on 2,5 mm needles.
I added 6 cm, I like long sleeves. :)

Button Bands
I started over again after one button band. Added 10 stitches, and changed the needle size from 2 to 2,5 mm. Much better!

Neck Edging
Also went for the 2,5 mm needle size. Perfect!
