I first started with Peach tree, size L.
Unfortunately I didn’t like the look of the pattern in this yarn. The yarn has 4 strands, not twisted and the pattern calls for yarn overs on top of yarn overs without a knit row in between, so the lace felt to fragile.
I went looking for a lace pattern I liked and had the traditional worked every other row.
Because the pattern repetition is different (not 10 sts, but 12 sts +1) and my first try was a bit large, I made a couple of changes in the number of sts and the placement of the body increases.
Neck edging
With 4 mm needles Cast on 158 sts, place sts marker and join in round. Knit first round.
Now work rib :
1rnd. ✦k1tbl, p1✦ repeat until end Repeat 1 rnd until you reach 2-3 cm.
Knit next round (k until end) and put st markers: BOR marker, k2, (half back piece) pm, k75 (sleeve), pm, k4 (front piece), pm, k75 (sleeve), pm, k2 (half back piece)
Yoke
When you knit yoke, you need to make increases every round and only on body piece. To make increases you can use your favorite method or as me just yarn over and worked twisted in the next round.
Work as follows:
1 rnd. K until 1 before sm, yo, k1tbl, pm, p1, ✦pattern repeat✦x6, p1, pm, k1tbl, yo, k until 1 before sm, yo, k1tbl, pm, p1, ✦pattern repeat✦x6, p1, pm, k1tbl, yo, k until end;
2 rnd. K until 2 before sm, work previous row yo twisted, yo, k1tbl, pm, p1, ✦pattern repeat✦x6, p1, pm, k1tbl, yo, work previous row yo twisted, k until 2 before sm, work previous row yo twisted, yo, k1tbl, pm, p1, ✦pattern repeat✦x6, p1, pm, k1tbl, yo, work previous row yo twisted, k until end;
3 rnd. K until 2 before sm, work previous row yo twisted, yo, k1tbl, pm, p1, ✦pattern repeat✦x6, p1, pm, k1tbl, yo, work previous row yo twisted, k until 2 before sm, work previous row yo twisted, yo, k1tbl, pm, p1, ✦pattern repeat✦x6, p1, pm, k1tbl, yo, work previous row yo twisted, k until end;
Repeat round 2 and 3 (pattern in row 2 = knit) until you complete 3 times the complete pattern and then round 1 to 6 one more time.
Keeping up with the increases, work 2 more round in knit stitch, then switch the sleeve sts to twisted ribbing as the neck edging ✦k1tbl, p1✦ for 10 rounds and work a last one in knit st.
Body
On the next round, K until 1 before sm, yo, k1tbl, pm, p1, bind off 75, p1, pm, k1tbl, yo, k until 1 before sm, yo, k1tbl, pm, p1, bind off 75, p1, pm, k1tbl, yo, k until end;
Now you have 59 (half back piece), 2 (underarm), 118 (front piece), 2 (underarm), 59 (half back piece).
On the next round, K until sm, cable 1/1 LC pm in the middle of the cable, k sm, cable 1/1 LC pm in the middle of the cable, k until end;
Now you have 60 (half back piece), 120 (front piece), 60 (half back piece).
Continue knitting in the round until###
