I enjoyed making this sweater very much. It came together without a hitch and no seams!
These shell buttons will do until I can afford the gorgeous fused green and blue sea glass buttons I think are perfect.

The only not so great thing about this sweater is the dye bled like crazy. I never had an issue with colorfastness when Judy was doing the dyeing. I’ve experienced trouble with the skeins I bought after her son took over. I haven’t had any recent purchases, though, so I’m hoping this was a temporary problem. You can actually see how much dye left the yarn from finished and no buttons to finished and washed/blocked with buttons. Both photos were taken about three/four feet from a window but on different backgrounds.

After putting on the plainish, white buttons, I found a fabulous blue and green shawl pin which will be far more stylish :) The final photo is of the sweater on my daughter who is less curvy. I realized why I love Julie Weisenberger’s designs so much - this looks equally good on a curvier me and a slimmer version, my daughter.
