Notes

Completely made of Manx Loaghtan wool. Aran weight was used to crochet the head with. The head is stuffed with real wool as well. The horns are made from thermo plastic as used by model makers. Painted and Manx Loaghtan wool soaked in pva glue to give the horns a better organic texture.

Manx Loaghtan fleece was then carded up and I used needle felting techniques to apply the sheep’s face and torso. Onto the torso I needle felted Loaghtan locks.

The eyes are made from clear glass cabuchons the backs has the eye detail then painted on with nail varnish and the eye contrasts were scratched out.

The socket was made from femo modelling clay and oven baked. The eyes then glued onto the socket. Needle felt was used to fashion eyelids and once done, the eyes were glued into place so the eyelids sit naturally over the eye ‘ball’.

A real work of love. Finally finished. +1
