Jamie has a new winter coat and needed a new winter hat. “Mammy” was happy to oblige.

I cast on 88 stitches and knit the 2 x 2 ribbing for four inches. I knit the 6 x 2 ribbing for 2-1/2 inches.

I placed markers to divide the 88 stitches into groupings of 29, 29 and 30. I decreased as indicated until 5, 5 and 6 stitches remained, then decreased one stitch at the beginning of the first two sections, and one stitch at the beginning and end of the third.
