Notes

Body stitch pattern #0085 from mypicot.com, with mods, of course.

Not sure yet how I will close up the crown, also haven’t figured out seaming yet, but one thing at a time.

Planning on “Zigzag Crochet” for hatband ribbing.

Stitch pattern reminds me of the Zakim Bridge in Boston. (Once known as the “Bill Buckner Bridge”, so I thought “Buckner Bridge Beanie” would be a cute name, but my husband assures me that no one calls it that anymore, and I’m dating myself, and most folks don’t get the reference. Bummer -- I liked the alliteration!)

Finished both hats and the pattern today.
Blue hat = Large, 180 yds
Gold hat = Medium, 160 yds

Love the invisible slst-dec on the crown!

This stitch pattern is so very stretchy, there was no need to change the circumference to fit Medium or Large, just needed to add a little length for the Large.

I cheated a bit on my Medium hat, added a round of ribbing to the edge trim to make it more comfortably and completely cover my ears.
