Hat turned out just a bit larger than expected, but still a good size for HFS. Maybe next pattern I’ll try a #7 hook…

Chose “45” for hat height, worked 7 pattern repeats for circumference. Hat is a little taller than I expected, based on my gauge swatch and calculations, but I wonder if maybe my gauge relaxed as I was working…

Pattern is beautifully clear. This time I was determined to use the chart only, and managed just fine. I think I’m understanding the logic of the stitch symbols now, so the chart is no longer overwhelming. Videos are wonderful, and “invisible stitch” for the seam is just perfect! I used the foundation tail to sew up the crown so I wouldn’t over-tighten the seam.

Gorgeous hat! I will be making one for myself eventually, I’m sure.

Now, if I just understood how to do this hashtag stuff…
