I love a hat with a brim for extra warmth. Add to that an incredibly fun to knit zig zag pattern and you have a perfect winter hat!
I knit the full 3” brim but started the decreases for the crown after row 6 (8 rows shorter than original suggestion). My yardage reflects this.
