Needing an instant gratification job right now.

My modifications: Before starting the brioche, I reversed the sense of knitting, this way I have the flat CO on the inside and the sole is all nice and bumpy on the outside.

Rnd after first dec rnd: worked the decreased sts in rib.
2nd dec rnd: plain sts also rib. Keeping the sts in rib (as they come) for all the next rnds as well. I don’t know why I bother since you can’t see sts in this yarn.

Ok, so of course once I had the 32 sts, the rib did not line up with the brioche st ;) I fudged it: increased one in purl where I needed (st 16) and then purled two tog just before the second batch of brioches. This was on a rnd 2 of the brioche patt.

Again, I don’t know why I bother since you can’t see sts in this yarn.

I made a round of eyelets before the rnds of stockinette, for a cord, because it was too loose otherwise. That’s pretty tall so only made 6 rnds of stockinette.
If I make these again, I will do more decreases because the cuff is too wide.

I now realise I decreased to 38 instead of 32, so indeed the cuff is too wide. But I still think I’d prefer a quicker rate of decrease for the instep.
