I am increasing with loops instead of kfb.

The instruction to knit the divided valve for 2” isn’t very helpful for different gauges. From the gauge I take it’s 15 rows. I am knitting 17 myself since the tube seemed too narrow at 15.

I stuffed (with the acrylic yarn) the first valve and closed it with duplicate stitch, which looks pretty neat. I don’t see why I cannot close the upper end of the tube, though, so I did. To stuff it later? well I stuffed it and closed it.

Getting dangerously short on yarn.

I had to start knitting the second valve with the tail. By the time I got to the necessary 7th rnd, I had basically no yarn left. Phew.

I knitted an extra rnd on both valves with Drops Alpaca and bound off with it. Looks great.

I also sewn shut (loosely) the valves with bright red mohair/silk, then stitched over it a spiral in chain stitch. Looks pretty cool I think.

I have not sewn the valves in place. the yarn is kind of rough and it stays put very well, plus it is nice to knot it in place, so I leave it like this.

I also used some of the Alpaca to chain around the edges of the T shaped veins, to make it look more like the cast off of the others. Definitely looking nicer.
