What I did different

I added two more increase rnds because my gauge is a bit smaller.

I didn’t do the bottom ribbing separately, but continued picking up sts all along the edge. 2,25 mm needle for the ribbing. In order to make the 90 degree mitred corners at the bottom, I am increasing two sts (loop) on each side of a central k st every other rnd. For the horizontal portions (CO edge) I picked up one st per st.

This dark and heathery yarn is very forgiving, but it also made it very difficult to pick up sts, because you don’t see anything.

Some fair-isle motifs that I improvised on a cat toy. It doesn’t work very well knitted flat, but I really like the simplicity so I’ll just weave in the extra ends…

One ball of yarn was enough for this cardi minus sleeves, plus matching booties. Started the second ball for the sleeves.
