stitch gauge slightly tighter and row gauge slightly looser than what the pattern suggested - I followed the size XS stitch counts as written to get a finished full bust ~ 34.5” (4.5” of ease at upper bust and 2.5” at full bust) perfect for layering over warmer weather tops).

Modifications:

1. shortened the body to ~11” and sleeves to ~15”.
2. knit the sleeves flat (cast on C+1 st at the end of the first and second rows and seamed).

Notes:

1. worked sleeve decreases as written, but only had space for 8 decreases total (so had 2 extra stitches - which worked fine since my sleeves end mid-forearm, not at the wrist).
2. had 91 stitches for the button bands: N=15, with 5 stitches left.
3. casting on an extra stitch at both ends of the bands is a new-to-me technique and wow - what a difference it makes in smoothing out the edges - thank you Heidi for teaching me a new trick!
