11-22-18 - sewed on the buttons … and wore it for Thanksgiving photos
11-19-18 - and whoosh! finished the knitting, blocked and laid flat to dry. I used Twill leftover from Second Avenue for the last two rows of the body + bind off and the button/neck bands. That Twill was a little bit lighter than the other three skeins. and I needed more than 3 skeins. Had 4g left from skein #3 and used 16g from the leftovers.
11-10-18 - halfway through the ribbing at the bottom of the body … and almost through skein #2.
11-7-18 - through row 70 of the before-the-ribbing part of the body. Easy knitting once I separated the sleeves!
11-2-18 - cast on … and a couple hours later I’ve knit about 2,000 stitches. (ended the day with 29 rows completed)
11-1-18 - swatched … and I’m happy with the fabric even though the row gauge is a smidge loose. Knitting fewer rows won’t be a problem!
This has been in my queue since it was released … glad to finally be knitting it. also looking forward to adding a basic cardigan to my wardrobe. and knitting way more than 50,000 stitches in a month ;-)
This is my first time participating in NaKniSweMo and I roughly checked the number of stitches to be sure this would qualify:
~24,300 = body
4,600 = body ribbing
19,500 = two sleeves
so I’m already to 48,000 without adding in the yoke.
