8 colors (MC, A, B, C, D, E, F, G) - followed the 7-color version, swapping out 1-2 rows in each sequence with color G.

Also, worked a whole 7th sequence (pattern for the throw has you stop after 4 rows) because I had plenty of yarn! (each row takes about 10g … so there’s actually enough yarn for an 8th sequence, but Sam is turning 4 - he doesn’t need it to be that big!)

A=Sage
B=Rosemary
C=Sky Blue
D=Basil
E=Blue (River)
F=Blueberry
G=Pine

I started the second ball of the MC just to work the second edge … might not’ve needed it at all.

ALSO - I finished the body of the afghan at the end of August. and then it sat, waiting for edges and ends until nearly the end of October. Sam’s birthday is the 25th, and I finally had to do it! (and of course those last finishing steps took only about 4 hours)
