9-25 … i think i stretched it a bit too much when i blocked it…? newb blocking error, i guess, but it’s actually a really cool shawl. i notice that the pattern’s page has been amended to say that the picture on the front of the thing uses significantly more yarn than the pattern itself actually calls for… not so cool… in any event, i think i probably would make another of these if the chance came up, it was simple and the design is unique. i’m still playing around with all the different ways to wear it. (^_^) as for the yarns, the berroco looks awesome. i am definitely buying some more of this stuff. the darker rowan wool is scratchy for some reason, but the lighter stuff feels great. shrug

9-16 … outsmarted myself by buying a yarn for the border that is definitely NOT machine washable. well, it’s going to look awesome anyway, i guess i’ll just have to learn to get through life w/out spilling stuff all over myself. (^_^) also guess i should change this project’s name, since it’s not going to be monochrome any more…

9-9 … well, i did ~250 yds of one side, as the pattern indicated, and wasn’t really happy with the length, so i used up both skeins of the same color on the first side, so i’ll have to go back and buy a third skein of each color to use for the accent/border pattern. the current picture is side 1, part 1, ~370 yards (116 rows), and still only ~13 inches long…
