It’s done just in time for my daughter’s weekend getaway to upstate New York, where the shrug will be just perfect for a cool evening.

This shrug was sheer pleasure to knit, especially now that I’ve learned the Norwegian purl method. It made the K1, P1 rib very relaxing.

Finally getting back to this project. Decided to go with the actual yarn called for--the Malabrigo Merino Worsted. Got gauge on size 9 US. The yarn is just delicious. Now I know how sheep feel when they stand close to each other.

Bought Berroco Pure Merino Heather in a beautiful, soft, deep crimson color and will get back to this project later--probably in February--so my daughter can have it for the spring.
