2 different colors „Wolpryla“ yarns, no longer produced, pure acrylic, yardage 330 und 340 m / 100 grams
50:50 needle setting on both beds = 200 tubular stitches
stich size 6.5 front bed and 5 back bed for pattern
Start with color 1 a doublebed cast on as for a toe-up sock, short rowing (ss 6) over 15 stitches right and left as for a „heel“. Then two rows CX/CX, turn ss bb 5 (or, if not too hard, even 4.75) and fb 6.5
Pattern with Punchcard for tubular Mosaicknitting (no arrow as inverted) by Kathleen Kinder „Octagon“, Deco on 4, color change every 4 rows CX / HX (no! arrow).
Knit 446 rows for pattern, then remove Deco,
2 rows CX / CX in color 1, ss 6 / 6.5
transfer every other stitch onto neighboring needle, still in the round
now use color 2 for 2 RZ, then for the rest color 1 again, knit 70 RZ for the double mockrib, take off with waste yarn and fix open stitches with tapestry needle onto stitches of color 2 to close the tunnel. Leave 2 or 3 stitches unfixed to have an opening for inserting an elastic.
This baby sleeping bag is seamless, no floats inside (only mini-floats).
I made a mistake in color change at one point…
