Started decreases at 12.75” b/c I don’t want to roll up the brim and I have an unusually small head.

Could’ve made it 1/2” longer for this thickness? Or maybe it’ll be perfect if I block it.

It’s comfy, snug, and warm and I’ll probably wear it, but I’m looking forward to making another with self-striping fingering weight yarn. I don’t love the color or weight of the yarn in this project. The swish worsted seems to pill readily, too. It was a good way to use my stash to try out the pattern.

I unfinished this hat. I think I’ll try adding some embroidery to make it more interesting.

Finally got around to blocking the hat and it’s much improved. Fits perfectly.

It took me a while to decide how to make this boring hat more interesting. I was planning to add complicated flower or mushroom embroidery but ended up simply matching the little hearts on my fingerless gloves. This small addition turned it into my happy hat.

It would’ve been easier if I had done this as color work or at least added it before I closed it up but it wasn’t too hard to weave it in between the layers so this hat is still reversible.
