2008: My version is a hybrid of the Mason-Dixon Knitting Outside the Lines felted tree and this pattern. I’m using the M-D method with double-pointed needles, but I’m going to poke holes in it and add lights when I’m done. Which may happen before Christmas. Or not.

2017: Small trees with the same method, yarn doubled, knit on double-pointed needles, start with 66 stitches (which uses nearly all of one skein of Knitpicks Wool of the Andes. Trying another with 69 stitches, hoping it doesn’t take more than one skein), decrease at beginning of each section every third row, by SSK or S1, K1, PSSO (slip one, knit one, pass slipped stitch over) method.
